FAQs

  1. It takes a long time for one of the home pages to display.

The site is much more graphic-intensive than most sites. Although mobiusriskgroup.com doesn’t want to exclude anyone, the majority of our users are accessing our site through T1 lines or high-end modems. We also know from our focus groups that those users value the level and style of graphics on our home pages. Our site has been optimized for the values of our target users. However, we do not want anyone to wait an inordinate time for information on any of our pages. The vast majority comes in under 40K, a generally recognized acceptable size for speedy navigation. And we continually optimize so that even those on 28.8 modems will only have to wait a few seconds. Since the home pages typically have a large amount of animation your connection speed may not be great enough to display the page quickly.

  2. What happens to users who don’t have browsers that support Flash?

If you don’t currently have Flash support, you will be asked if you wish to download the plug-ins. If you choose not to, you will not be able to view flash pages in their entirety.

  3. How do I disable cookies using Netscape Navigator?

To control your computer's behavior with respect to cookies:

    a. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
    b. Click the Advanced category.
    c. Click one of the radio buttons.
    d. If you want to be notified when Communicator accepts a cookie, check "Warn me before accepting a cookie."

  4. How do I disable cookies using Internet Explorer?

Internet Explorer is set up to allow the creation of cookies; however, you can specify that you be prompted before a site puts a cookie on your hard disk, so you can choose to allow or disallow the cookie; or you can prevent Internet Explorer from accepting any cookies. To do this:

    a. Click Tools.
    b. Click Internet Options
    c. Pick the Security tab.
    d. Click one of the radio buttons.

You can specify different settings for different security zones. For example, you might want to allow Web sites to create cookies if they are in your Trusted sites or Local intranet zone, prompt you before creating cookies if they are in your Internet zone, and never allow cookies if they are in your Restricted sites zone.
