Role and Responsibilities
Casey Ragsdale brings more than 31 years of experience across commodity and financial markets, risk management, and decision-support infrastructure, with expertise spanning power, natural gas, crude oil, refined products, metals, and foreign exchange markets.
At Mobius Risk Group, Casey helps clients bridge the gap between business objectives and the decision-support frameworks required to make and execute complex decisions effectively. His work focuses on translating complex market dynamics, contractual structures, and operational uncertainty into actionable strategies that impact capital, risk, infrastructure, and business outcomes.
His experience includes hedging strategy, transaction structuring, and the development of systems and operating frameworks, allowing him to operate at the intersection of market intelligence, commercial strategy, and real-world execution. Casey works closely with organizations navigating increasingly interconnected commodity, infrastructure, and technology environments where real-time information, operational constraints, and economic outcomes must align.
Prior Experience
Prior to joining the founding team at Mobius Risk Group in 2002, Casey helped develop valuation and transaction-structuring processes across U.S. power and natural gas markets and contributed to the development and implementation of risk management systems, governance frameworks, and operational policies within a large energy merchant environment.
His background enables him to translate complexity into clarity, helping organizations make confident decisions when the stakes are highest.
